The shooting death of an 18-year-old man in the Westwood neighborhood has lead to the arrest of 43-year-old Joseph Taylor by Cincinnati police. He has been charged with reckless homicide following the incident that occurred on Sunday evening.
Officers responded to the 3300 block of Lakeview Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday in reference to a report of a shooting. On scene, they located 18-year-old Kaleb Evans, who had sustained a gunshot wound, police said.
Officials from the Cincinnati Fire Department attempted to save his life, but they were unsuccessful, and Evans was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police initially reported the incident occurred on Lakewood Avenue in Corryville, but have since corrected that to say it occurred on Lakeview Avenue in Westwood.
