According to local police, a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash about 6:00 a.m. today in Colerain Township.
The accident was reported near Commons Circle on Colerain Avenue, just outside North gate Mall. As a precaution, both ways of Colerain Avenue remained closed for hours as authorities investigated, reopening the road around 9:30 this morning.
Police say the motorcycle that crashed was owned by the driver and a car. The rider was rushed to a hospital near the scene with severe injuries.
Police were able to track the fleeing vehicle and its owner, who has been identified as Taj McCall. McCall is a 34-year-old man. He has been booked on felony leaving the scene of an accident and other charges that have yet to be released.
