Knoxville Police 15 Year-Old Boy Charged for Mass Violence Threat After Late Night Investigation

A 15-year-old at Bearden High School, who is currently behind bars, faces serious charges regarding an investigation from the Knoxville Police Department after the person made a threat of a mass violence.

Knoxville Police Department officers were deployed to the school Friday about 7:30 p.m. after receiving a call regarding a verbal threat that this student made against the Bearden High School. Authorities quickly responded and went on with the Knox County District Attorney’s Office to view the situation.

Investigation officers took the student into their custody at his home located in West Knoxville. However, he is now in the dock for making threats of mass violence. 

Another form of support to the investigators came from Tennessee Homeland Security, and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, which signified the collaborative effort from all parties to address matters of school safety.

Since then, the Knox County School District has not offered any further statements on this incident.
