Ella Emhoff has also called her stepmother a “brat,” a reference to the recently released album of the same name by British singer Charli XCX. According to the singer, the phrase is used to describe any girl “who is a little messy, likes to party, and maybe says some dumb things sometimes.” The popular Gen Z phrase, which has gone viral, is intended as a compliment.
Emhoff largely refrained from using social media during President Biden’s campaign as the Democratic nominee.
Ella Emhoff asked for donations to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in a March Instagram post. The organization has strong links to terrorism, and in January the Biden administration stopped funding the program after learning of its involvement in the terrorist incident in Israel on October 7th, which was carried out by Hamas.
