Snowfall has caused multiple car crashes in Northern Arizona as it stretches Interstate 40, partially closing segments near Flagstaff on Wednesday morning.

While details on the severity of the accidents and any potential injuries are yet to be announced, DPS described the road as hazardous with additional snowfall in Flagstaff and throughout the region. Drivers should exercise extreme caution, reduce their speed, and prepare for delays as crews work on the accidents and clear the involved roadway.

ADOT and DPS are continuing to monitor weather conditions and are urging all drivers to exercise extreme caution as winter weather moves into local roads.
