Elon Musk and Donald Trump Reunite on X – Get Ready for an Unmissable Live Event Tonight

After storming the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, Donald Trump was banned from the platform X for nearly two years. However, on Monday, he is making a comeback, if only for one night. Elon Musk, the owner of X, and President Trump are scheduled to have a “live conversation” at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. According to the tech titan, the conversation will be “unscripted with no limits on subject matter, so should be highly entertaining!” Musk is inviting users of X to submit their own queries. The former president uses the conversation as a means of reaching out to millions of potential voters personally. It’s also X’s chance to make amends following several setbacks, as the platform mainly depends on politics.

Some of the most significant events of the 2024 cycle have already occurred in X. Trump began his own counterprogramming in August when he did not attend the first GOP presidential debate. He appeared on X in a taped interview with Tucker Carlson, a former host of Fox News Channel. President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the campaign last month in a letter that was uploaded to the site.

Notably, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis used the site to formally declare his candidacy for president in May 2023. This was a terrible rollout hampered by technological issues and overloaded by the over 400,000 users who attempted to log in. Musk announced on the platform that X was doing “some system scaling tests” in order to manage the expectedly large number of participants before his meeting with Trump. Prior to a few years ago, Musk identified as a Democrat. Two days after the former president was hurt during an attempted assassination at a rally in Pennsylvania last month, Musk supported Trump’s candidacy.
