In the midst of Wednesday morning rush hour, a significant rollover collision on a section of Interstate 17 in Phoenix created a significant delay.
The crash that occurred on I-17 southbound after Cactus Road involved at least two automobiles. One driver was hospitalized, according to troopers, with minor injuries.
While workers attempted to clear the wreckage, all traffic was halted. The damaged cars have been shifted to the shoulder, and the lanes have reopened as of 8:15 a.m.
An ambulance and several firetrucks were present at the scene. The investigation into what caused the crash is still ongoing.
