There are currently seven additional destinations available to passengers departing from Hartford’s Bradley International Airport on Avelo Airlines. This week, the budget carrier unveiled 18 new routes, seven of which are based at Bradley International Airport. There are two new overseas destinations on the routes.
Trevor Yealy, Head of Commercial at Avelo, stated, “We’ll establish a base of operations here at the Lakeland Linder International Airport beginning in late October.” “The establishment of this base will result in the presence of dedicated aircraft in Lakeland, the expansion of local employment opportunities, and the introduction of even more reasonably priced and dependable air service options.” Right now, Avelo is the only airline providing nonstop service to these eight well-liked locations. Once a week, the Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft will be used for the flights.
Avelo announced Wednesday, July 24, it will expand options out of LAL with seven, new nonstop routes to:
- San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU), starts Oct. 26
- Atlanta (ATL), starts Nov. 7
- Boston / Manchester, New Hampshire (MHT), starts Oct. 25
- Charlotte / Concord (USA), starts Oct. 24
- Hartford, Connecticut (BDL), starts Nov. 8
- Philadelphia / Wilmington, Delaware (ILG), starts Nov. 7
- Rochester, New York (ROC), starts Oct. 25
After the maiden flight to New Haven, Connecticut, Avelo Airlines management reported that the success rate had been very high. “Once we’ve completed 24 flights, we’ve carried over 3,300 passengers. which translates to a 95% average load factor for each aircraft, according to Yearly.

The fact that Avelo Airlines had such success with its first flights to and from Lakeland is really wonderful.
