According to fire department officials, a toddler in Scottsdale’s backyard pool passed away after being discovered unconscious.
Just before 7:30 p.m., first responders were summoned to a house near McDowell and Scottsdale roads in reference to a drowning. When officials arrived, the 4-year-old youngster was unconscious and not breathing, and CPR was being administered.
According to Dave Folio of the Scottsdale Fire Department, the youngster was declared deceased upon arrival to the hospital.
According to Folio, the short-term rental apartment where the youngster died lacked a gate surrounding the swimming pool. He claimed he was unsure if the occupants were tenants or members of the family who owned the house tonight.
How long the youngster was in the water until someone found him is unknown.
