After a three-year-old child was discovered unconscious in a Hopkins County swimming pool, a death investigation was launched. According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch got a report of a medical emergency in the 700 block of Rabbit Ridge Road near Nebo on Sunday at approximately 4:34 p.m.Later, information from several sources revealed that the child had been found unconscious in the swimming pool.
According to officials, people began CPR; the sheriff’s office, Charleston Volunteer Fire, and Med Centre Ambulance Service responded. After emergency medical responders, according to officials, attempted to provide assistance, the youngster was transported to Baptist Health-Deaconess in Madisonville. There, the infant was declared dead.
The local Cabinet for Health and Family Services, the Hopkins County Coroner’s Office, and the sheriff’s office launched the inquiry, which is still ongoing. According to the sheriff’s office, no more details will be disclosed at this time.
