Williams Field High School’s Student Council earned the National Gold Council of Excellence honor this year from the National Student Council organization.

This marks the second year in a row the school received the honor.

The Black Hawks are one of only two schools in Arizona to receive the distinction this year.

“Earning the award was no small task and your students’ success is a testament to the leadership and support you give to them and their adviser, and to the value placed on student council as an integral part of your school and its educational mission,” Jeff Sherill, Associate Director, National Student Council, wrote in an e-mail.

The Williams Field Student Council advisers are Bev Peden and Heather Gossler.
