Register now for WestEd’s  Depth of Knowledge and Critical Thinking webinar from 3:30 to 4:45p.m. (Pacific Time) Feb. 13 to learn how Webb’s four Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels grow in cognitive complexity and provide educators with a lens to enable them to integrate the use of technology and to create more cognitively engaging and challenging tasks.

Participants will also examine and consider how Depth of Knowledge offers a common language to understand “rigor,” or cognitive demand, in assessments, as well as curricular units, lessons, and tasks.

This is the fifth webinar in the Secondary Literacy Partnership’s free series, “Transitioning to the Common Core State Standards: Spotlight on Instruction, Assessment, and Equity.”

Members of the Secondary Literacy Partnership include the California Department of Education, the Association of California School Administrators, the California Teachers Association, and the California Comprehensive Center at WestEd.

Presenters for the series include staff from the California Department of Education, California county offices of education, and the Region IX Equity Assistance Center at WestEd. The series is hosted by SchoolsMovingUp at WestEd.
