Vistancia Elementary School is one of 34 Arizona public schools to earn the coveted A+ School of Excellence award for the 2013-14 academic year from the Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF). Once a school is appointed as an A+ school, the designation is for a three-year term.

Since 1983, the AEF has honored a number of exemplary pre-kindergarten through 12th grade public schools throughout Arizona which gives recognition to outstanding public schools.

Vistancia Elementary School, a Signature school in the Peoria Unified School District, is home of the district’s Accelerated Academy, entitled High Education Achievement Track (HEAT). The program was developed for high performing students who have tested gifted in any area or are high performing.
