Black Mountain Elementary School
Black Mountain Elementary will host their annual Veterans Day Walk of Honor on November 10th starting at 2:45. Veterans walk along the inner path at BMES while being honored for their service by students and staff. All veterans are welcome. Call 480-575-2100 for more information.
Desert Sun Academy
Desert Sun Academy students are creating cards for veterans thanking them for their service and giving the cards to them at the November 7th flag raising. Veterans are welcome to join for the November 7th flag raising. Call 480-575-2900 for more information.
Desert Willow Elementary School
Desert Willow Elementary is celebrating Veterans Day with red, white, and blue spirit wear on Friday. The school is also hosting “Lunch with a Veteran” where our students will have the opportunity to interact with veterans from our community. Call 480-575-2800 for more information.
Horseshoe Trails Elementary School
Horseshoe Trails Elementary is hosting a Veterans Day assembly on Thursday, November 10th that will feature a choir performance and essay readers from 6th grade. Students are also sending letters to members of the Armed Forces and watching video messages from veterans in our community. Call 480-272-8500 for more information.
Lone Mountain Elementary School
Students at Lone Mountain Elementary will engage in a variety of activities including learning about Veterans Day, making thank you cards, and singing patriotic songs. All students will also be learning the National Anthem and other patriotic songs to honor veterans in music class.Call 480-437-3000 for more information.
Sonoran Trails Middle School
Sonoran Trails Middle School will have a Veterans Day Assembly on November 10. There will be a welcome by Mrs. Sarraino; Pledge of Allegiance; performance by STMS Band and Chorus; Veterans will speak to the students, including former STMS Principal, Dr. Skot Beazley; and Mr. Boggs will close the ceremony.
Cactus Shadows High School
At Cactus Shadows High School Principal Sarah Barela will make a special announcement about Veterans Day in the morning announcements.
