The Vail Preservation Society welcomes U.S. Congressman Ron Barber to their annual reception, where we will present the 1st annual Heritage Keeper award on Friday, March 28.
The Heritage Keeper is the first such award from VPS, formed in 2006 as a grass roots effort to preserve the heritage of the greater Vail area. The award will become part of the annual reception.
The reception will take place at Esmond Station K-8 School, 9400 S. Atterbury Wash Way in Tucson starting at 12 p.m., with the award presentation to start at 1 p.m.
The Vail Preservation Society is partnering with the Vail School District to restore a 1915 Southern Pacific Railroad Section Foreman House which will provide a backdrop for the event and award. The house takes center stage at the newest Vail school, Esmond Station K-8.
