Toy Makers by State

With the holiday season approaching, kids across the country are preparing their gift lists with toys most likely at the top. Help your students make the connection between the toys on their list and where they are made by looking at the number of toy manufacturing companies in your state.

Our Toy Makers by State warm-up activity gives students the opportunity to imagine starting their own toy manufacturing company anywhere in the United States. After analyzing a map that shows the number of doll, toy, and game manufacturing companies across the country, students will answer questions about where they would like to open their own company and why.
