Take part in the Madison Dash 5K & Wellness Bash on March 7
On Saturday, March 7, the third annual Madison Dash & Wellness Bash will be held on a course through scenic North Central Phoenix.
The Dash includes two components, a Competitive Run as well as a Mini Dash.
Competitive Run
The 5K run begins and ends at 24th and Missouri. All ages may participate.
Race registration begins at 6:30 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 8:00 a.m. Registration costs $15 for those 14 and under, and $40 for those 15 and up.
Registration includes a t-shirt, finisher medal and water and healthy snacks for all runners.
Mini Dash
The 1 Mile Mini Dash will begin at 9 a.m. The course also begins and ends at 24th and Missouri.
It is free for students (10 and under).
After the Mini Dash is completed, all race participants can partake in the awards ceremony which will begin at 10:00 a.m. located at Renovation Church, 5604 N 24th St, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
For those not interested in running there are also volunteer opportunities available to help with water stations, registration, refreshments, awards, course directors, mini dash, parking/bus stop and traffic (must be 18+). To sign up please visit http://madisondashtothebash5k.org/.
It is advised that anyone attending or participating, arrive early so that there is time to find parking and walk to the starting line.
There are no bag checks, and water stations will be available for runners.
Wellness Bash
This is the first year adding a Wellness Bash to the Madison Dash 5K event.
The Wellness Bash will be located near the 5K Start/Finish line and be open from 7 a.m. through the awards ceremony.
The Wellness Bash will consist of education and community involvement booths that will inspire wellness for our Dash participants.
Madison School District is on the forefront for creating an environment that encourages positive health and wellness behaviors.
The Madison Dash 5K & Wellness Bash event strives to promote physical, social, and emotional health for Madison students, staff and community.
Madison is passionate about what it does for students, and invites the community to join it in making an investment in the larger Madison community by helping to enhance the lives of district students.
All proceeds from the Madison Dash & Wellness Bash will support wellness initiatives in Madison School District.
