Summer fun and learning at home with Census Bureau’s Statistics in Schools

The Census Bureau‘s Statistics in Schools brings school subjects to life using real-world Census Bureau data to create materials for use year after year at all grade levels.
This summer, parents and caregivers may be looking for activities their children can do with them or independently and for ways to keep their kids’ minds sharp for the next school year.

Let them know that Statistics in Schools (SIS) can help!
Just direct your students’ parents and caregivers to the following resources:
- SIS toolkits for parents and caregivers with kids in pre-K, elementary school, middle school, and high school. Each toolkit provides tips, best practices, and instruction on how to use and adapt SIS activities and resources at home.
- SIS on Pinterest. Follow SIS to see English- and Spanish-language activities, materials, and videos the program is highlighting.
- Quick, fun options like the Population Bracketology Game, the Statistics in Schools Quiz Game, and five-minute warm-up activities.
Remember, the 2020 Census is still underway! Check out the Response Rate Map to see how your community is doing, and encourage parents and caregivers to complete the 2020 Census at my2020census.gov.
