South Mountain drill team wins skills meet

The South Mountain High School JROTC Drill Team competed in the Annual Marcos De Niza Skills Meet against 18 other schools throughout Arizona, Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine JROTCs December 14, and  won first place overall for the event for the fourth year in a row.

The Jaguars took 1st place in the relay run; 1st place in the sit-up event; 1st place in Unarmed 4-person; 2nd place in Armed Regulation, 2nd place in Inspection, 2nd Overall in Physical Fitness, 3rd place in Unarmed Regulation, 3rd place in push-up event, 3rd place in Color guard.

The commanders are Jonathan Garcia, Janell Borja, and Maria Rodriguez.
