Matador pride was evident as Shadow Mountain High School held its Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to commemorate the completion of the newly renovated Performing Arts Center.

In addition to high school plays, concerts and performances, North Valley Arts Academies students at Desert Cove Elementary School and Shea Middle School will be able to use the facility for collaborative productions with the high school North Valley Arts Academy students.

Shadow Mountain High School unveils renovated performing arts center 480x2433In 2011, voters approved a $203 million bond. The renovated Performing Arts Center cost $4.8 million and was completed on time and on budget. Renovations included state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment, new seating, building facade facelift, renovated restrooms, new interior makeover, complete lobby remodel, all new energy efficient lighting, mechanical upgrades, new carpet and flooring, and new paint throughout.

The architectural firm and construction company for the project were ADM Group, Inc. and CORE Construction.
