Scottsdale Unified School District’s (SUSD) Education Center and Mohave District Annex will be open on New Year’s Eve to accept last minute Tax Credit contributions.

People who would like to make a tax credit donation can stop by on Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Education Center at 3811 N. 44th St. in Phoenix  or the Mohave District Annex at 8500 E. Jackrabbit Road in Scottsdale.

One hundred percent of your Tax Credit contribution goes directly for students. Your donation supports education and will be used for before and after school programs, music competitions, tutoring, field trips, overnight trips and athletic programs.

Arizona law allows taxpayers to receive a dollar for dollar tax credit of up to $200 for individual filers and up to $400 for married filers for contributions made to SUSD schools. You can claim the tax credit when filing your 2013 Arizona State Income Tax return.

Your contribution must be postmarked or received online by December 31, 2013. You may also make a contribution online at It’s a win-win situation for you and the school!
