School and student scholarships available for public schools across Arizona

Each year, the Arizona School Boards Association bestows honors upon schools and students in public school districts across the state. ASBA encourages students in public schools to participate in these scholarship opportunities.

Student awards will be presented Thurs, Dec. 14, 2017, 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. at the Annual Conference at the Biltmore Conference Center in Phoenix.

Student Awards

Jack Peterson Student Scholarship: Awarded to high school seniors in member schools who plan to pursue college degrees in education.
Entry form: Online submissions  Deadline: 5 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017

Panfilo H. Contreras Honorary Scholarship: Awarded by ASBA’s Hispanic-Native American Indian Caucus to two worthy students, one Hispanic and one Native American, to support post-secondary education at an accredited institution. Entry form: Online submissions  Deadline: 5 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017

ASBA Photography Contest: The ASBA Photography Contest recognizes student achievement in black-and-white and color photography. A selection committee chooses the winners, who are recognized at the ASBA-ASA Annual Conference in December. Entry form: Online submissions  Deadline: 5 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017.
