PVSchools Students Named National Merit Finalists

PVSchools is proud to announce that seven students have recently been named National Merit Finalists.

They are: Whitney Geren, Diana Garland and Andrew Cho – Horizon High School; Nicholas Chen and Lauren O’Donnell – North Canyon High School; Katherine Leung – Paradise Valley High School; PVSchools Students Named National Merit Finalists 480x480Mackenzie Zepeda – Pinnacle High School.

Beginning in March and continuing to mid-June, National Merit Scholarship Corporation will notify approximately 7,400 finalists that they have been selected to receive a Merit Scholarship award.

The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955.

High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), a test which serves as an initial screen of approximately 1.5 million entrants each year, and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements
