WHAT: Phoenix Union High School District is holding a Teacher Career Fair, Saturday, March 5. Openings for the 2016-17 school year are available in all subject areas. Interviews will be conducted by school and District personnel. Screening interviews will be conducted from 8-10 a.m. by District administrators. Because of enrollment growth, retirements and attrition, PUHSD anticipates hiring up to 150 teachers.
Phoenix Union serves over 27,000 high school students at 17 schools, and employs over 1600 teachers. A first-year teacher salary is $39,411 (2015-16) and PUHSD honors up to eight years teaching experience on the salary schedule.

Prospective teachers should bring resume, transcripts, teacher certification, letters of recommendation and a copy of a fingerprint clearance card. It is recommended that applicants who have not completed a Phoenix Union online application complete one prior to the career fair.
