The Peoria Unified School District will proudly celebrate 125 years of educating students in the 2014-15 school year.
The district’s rich history is made up of countless individual stories of students whose lives have been impacted by Peoria Unified since 1890. The district would like to share those stories.
The stories must be 250 words or less and can be emailed along with a recent photo (in .jpg format) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The stories will be featured in a variety of ways over the course of the 125th year as part of the 125: Alumni Project. The deadline to submit a story is August 18, 2014.
The Peoria Unified School District, located in the West Valley, serves more than 36,000 students in 32 elementary schools, seven high schools and one non-traditional high school. With ongoing open enrollment and alternative educational opportunities, the district boasts a 94 percent high school graduation rate.
