The Peoria Unified School District offers a variety of summer art camps for students interested in dance, drama, music and visual arts.
Foothills Fine Arts Academy is offering a visual and performing arts camp for students who will be entering fourth-through eighth-grade in the 2014-15 school year. Camp will take place from 9 a.m. – noon. June 10 – 26, 2014, Tuesdays through Thursday only. The cost to participate in this camp is $75. Sunrise Mountain High School is offering a performing arts camp for students who have completed third through eighth-grade and are interested in producing the musical “Peter Pan Jr.” Rehearsals will take place from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., July 7 – 11 and July 14 – 17. The performance will take place 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 17. The cost to participate is $150. Contact Ms. Boehme at email@example.com for information and to register.
Peoria Unified’s Arts Education Department is offering a theatre production class for students who have completed eighth- through twelfth-grade. This class is open to all Peoria Unified students, as well as students from other districts, and takes place at Ironwood High School. The show is “High School Musical” and both actors and tech students are eligible. Auditions are May 10. Rehearsals take place 8 a.m. – noon, Monday – Thursday only and runs May 27 – June 17.
