The Peoria Education Foundation announces the opening of its 2014-15 Community Service and Against All Odds scholarship applications.
The scholarships are intended for Peoria Unified graduating seniors who plan to attend post-secondary institutions including a university, community college or a vocational/trade school to further their education.
Students eligible for an Against All Odds scholarship have overcome tremendous obstacles and are still on track to not only graduate, but to move on to their post-secondary education.
Any Peoria Unified high school senior is encouraged to apply for a scholarship with applications due to the Peoria Unified School District Office by 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2 at 6330 W. Thunderbird Road, attention Public Relations.
The Peoria Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to support and enrich education in the Peoria Unified School District by funding grants to teachers and scholarships to students. In 2013, the Foundation provided scholarships to 21 graduating seniors totaling more than $15,000.
Since 1987, the Peoria Education Foundation has offered grants to teachers in the Peoria Unified School District to enhance the educational experience of students. The Foundation is an IRS designated 501(c)(3) which provides scholarships to students and grants to teachers within the district. The Foundation incurs no administrative costs and every penny of every dollar goes towards meeting the mission of the Foundation.
