The Paradise Valley Unified School District continues to build on its renowned reputation for the arts with its latest K-12 fine arts signature program —  Shadow Complex for the Arts.

Shadow Complex for the Arts comprises three adjacent schools in the PV Schools system, all located near Shea Boulevard and 30th Street: Desert Cove Paradise Valley to open signature arts complex 226Elementary School, Shea Middle School and Shadow Mountain High School.

The program launches in 2014 with theater and dance signature programs, admitting students in grades 5 through 8 by application only. Music and art signature programs launch August 2015, admitting grades 5 through 8.

Students who audition for and are accepted into the Shadow Complex for the Arts receive deep, meaningful and more frequent instruction in their artistic specialty.

Students in each of the four signature programs – theater, dance, music and art – receive daily instruction in their core discipline from full-time, arts instruction specialists in addition to participating in the school’s regular fine arts programming.

The instructor-student relationship begins in elementary school and continues through high school graduation.
