Lawmakers, students, and business leaders from T-Gen and other major employers will gather for the Paradise Valley Schools Legislator Breakfast from 7:45 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 at Paradise Valley High School.
The event will be held in the CREST Presentation Room at Paradise Valley High School at 3950 E. Bell Road in Phoenix.
The event will provide an opportunity for policymakers to interact with students, learn from employers about their needs and partnerships with education and the difficulties and benefits of providing student internships, discover the innovative technology-driven way Paradise Valley Schools is elevating the skills of classroom teachers through its Center for Teacher Development.
Lawmakers will be able to ask and answer questions from students of all the district’s high schools via TelePresence; witness how teachers learn from each other in real-time, with real-world experiences for on-going professional development, and tour CREST (Center for Research in Engineering, Science and Technology) at Paradise Valley High School.
Continental breakfast provided by district Culinary Arts students.
