Each year, on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

HandsOn Greater Phoenix invites you to join us in one of our many MLK Day Volunteer Events and using the holiday as a time to learn, listen, and reflect on the racial injustice that still exists in our country.

The 2023 MLK Day Volunteer Events are here!

  • Join the HandsOn team for Project Vitamin C! Come out to pick citrus fruit at Saguaro Ranch in Glendale Saturday, January 14th from 9 am-12pm. Fruit from this event will be donated to local food pantries to be distributed to families in need. 2023 MLK Featured Event!
  • Sort and Pack at St. Mary’s Food Bank on Saturday, January 14th from 12 pm- 2 pm. Want to go the extra mile? Bring nonperishable food donations to the event with you!
