Metro Tech High School students and culinary arts instructors handled the catering of the all-volunteer breakfasts and luncheons for the Volunteer Non Profit Service Association (VNSA) Used Book Sale at the State Fairgrounds., February 15-16.

Students took control of all the set up as well as food preparation for the nearly 1000 volunteers.

“Volunteers were especially impressed with the level of service provided by Metro Tech students who worked from very early in the morning through the afternoon to provide a welcomed meal during this busy event. Sponsors of the VNSA event are already looking forward to next year’s event and partnering with Metro Tech Culinary Arts program,” Metro Chef Larry Canepa said.
