Metro Tech Future Educators win awards

Cinthia Guevara, Arizona Central Region State Officer for Future Educators Association, and Jovanna Figueroa, Metro Tech’s FEA Chapter President earned Master Level Student Achievement Awards, for their dedication to serving our community and schools at the FEA State Conference & Competitions held at Grand Canyon University  March 4-5. 

A $500 renewable scholarship accompanies this award,

Four students also won first place in events that include a $2500 four-year renewable scholarship.

Figueroa, and Aylin Valdivia of Trevor Browne won the Inside Our Schools event.

Delhi Melendrez of Trevor Browne won Early Childhood Teaching: Language & Literacy, and Guevara won Impromptu Speaking.

Melendrez also placed second in FEA Moment and Valdivia placed third in Impromptu Speaking.

These four students qualified to attend the National Phi Delta Kappa International event in Minneapolis, April 11-14.
