Miller is a passionate advocate for children’s health and safety and has worked diligently with the Mesa Fire Department to provide immunizations for students.

Their roving clinic has increased student immunization compliance and provided seasonal flu shots for students who otherwise may not have had an opportunity to be immunized. Over the past 10 years, 45,957 state-required immunizations and 51,348 seasonal flu shots have been administered at Mesa schools.

Miller is president of the School Nurses Organization of Arizona, which provides support and resources for school nurses statewide in their efforts to promote student wellness and learning.
