Mesa math winners advance to regionals

Mesa Academy for Advanced Studies, Ishikawa, Highland and O’Connor elementary students will compete at the Regional Sixth-Grade Math Challenge in May. 

The top four Sixth-Grade Math Challenge teams in Mesa Public Schools will move on to regional competition May 3 at Arizona State University. Math Challenge matches are sponsored by the Arizona Association of Teachers of Mathematics.

  • first place: Mesa Academy for Advanced Studies
  • second place: Ishikawa Elementary
  • third place: Highland Elementary
  • fourth place: O’Connor Elementary
