Brad Nelson, also known as “Rocket Man” at Red Mountain Ranch Elementary, has coached fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders in the FIRST LEGO League Club for three years.

Students learn to program robots, solve real-world problems and boost team-building skills in the spirit of friendly competition. Brad also takes club members to tournaments and to district SciTech Expos.

Brad is a rocket systems engineer for Orbital Science Corp. He specializes in propulsion components and mechanical systems.

Mountain Ranch is extremely grateful to Brad for devoting many of his precious hours to the FIRST LEGO League Club and for increasing the children’s interests and abilities in science and technology.

Brad, thank you for your time and your continued support of academic excellence and enrichment at Red Mountain Ranch Elementary School.
