One hundred forty-five mattresses were delivered to Central High School, January 30, and school community liaisons across Phoenix Union High School District were ready to take them to campuses for families in need.

The project was in conjunction with Homeless Youth Connection (HYC) and American Furniture Warehouse.

Homeless Youth Connection case managers, in collaboration with Phoenix Union community liaisons, identified 15 families in need – a total of 47 mattresses went to those students first.

Community liaisons then took 98 mattresses or 49 sets, (2 mattresses per student/individual) to ten campuses.
