Scottsdale, AZ: MASK (Mothers Awareness on School-age Kids) is building social and emotional skills in children during the month of June at the MASK Summer Camps.
Last week, twelve kindergarten – third grade students were engaged, educated and empowered on how to make safe, healthy choices. Students attending the camp were taught social-emotional learning lessons on the topics of Peer Pressure, Cyber-Safety, RX 4 Prevention and Self Esteem. The lessons were conducted by a MASK i.m.(POWER) mentor. MASK i.m.(POWER) Mentors are Arizona State University students whom have been trained and certified to facilitate lessons based on three categories; Relational Development, Digital Solutions and Health and Wellness. Following each lesson, the campers engaged in fun interactive reinforcement activities. Please click on the link below to view a video highlighting the fun and learning from last week.
MASK Summer Camp aims to build social and emotional skills in children. This customized programming is based on contemporary trends as it relates to the challenges faced by today’s youth and their families. These topics are just a portion of the lessons taught in elementary schools through MASK Academy. If you are interested in registering your child for camp next week or implementing the MASK Academy in your child’s school, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org call 480-502-5337 for more information.
