Marine veteran renovating local schools, educating students

Sgt. James “Jim” Alexander, a Marine veteran and regional manager for leading facilities management company, SSC Services for Education, held his annual, multi-day seminar for local Tempe K-5 students focused on the sound of vibration.

The seminar was held from January 21-24 and February 4-6.

Outside of overseeing daily facilities operations for Kyrene School District, Jim Alexander continues to give back to the Tempe community through his annual “Discovery Class” seminar aimed at educating Gen Z students through hands-on and engaging learning activities.

Now in his third year of leading a “Discovery Class,” this year’s seminar focused on the sound of vibration, and involved students utilizing guitars and other string instruments as part of the seminar.
