Maricopa Unified‘s Maricopa High School teacher and National Board Certified Teacher, Aidan Balt, was invited by The Atlantic Magazine to the 5th Annual Education Summit in Washington D.C. on May 14, 2019.
She will be participating as a speaker on a panel with other teachers from across the nation, discussing teacher advocacy and the profession of education.
The conversation will run for about half an hour and will be moderated by one of the top Atlantic journalists.
The program is free and open to the public, and The Atlantic is expecting around 300 educators, policymakers, students, business and community leaders, and journalists to attend. The program will also be live streamed.
The event receives financial support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Amgen Foundation, VIPKID, K12, and the College Board.
