Knox Gifted Academy students take part in Giving Thanks Parade

Students from Knox Gifted Academy will be showcasing student-created floats for the Third Annual Giving Thanks Parade.

The Giving Thanks Parade takes place at 2:15 p.m. on November 26, 2014 and be held at the school at 700 W. Orchid Lane in Chandler. Knox Gifted Academy is a preschool through sixth grade school in the Chandler Unified School District.

Knox Gifted Academy students take part in Giving Thanks Parade KnoxGiftedAcademy1Students have been studying the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade and have been given opportunities to create parade entries based on the work of Tony Sarg and grade level curriculum.

  • Kindergarten – Balloon Floats
  • Second Grade – Patriotic Songs and Dances
  • Third Grade – Geometric Greek City Floats
  • Fifth Grade – Space and Aeronautical Rod-Puppets
  • Sixth Grade – Narration of the Event
