It’s full S.T.E.A.M. ahead for Pendergast Elementary School District

We hear so much about school choice these days, and Pendergast Elementary School District has choice programs in each of our twelve schools.
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) is a term for choice programs present in our curriculum and academies, and we have children’s best interests and learning in mind as we feature new and innovative courses of study.

According to the U.S. Government’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, “There were nearly 8.6 million STEM jobs in May 2015, representing 6.2 percent of U.S. employment. Computer occupations made up nearly 45 percent of STEM employment, and engineers made up an additional 19 percent. Mathematical science occupations and architects, surveyors, and cartographers combined made up 4 percent of STEM employment. These are increasing exponentially each year.”

These programs in Pendergast Elementary Schools provide the rigor and critical thinking as well as the standards needed for students to be successful in school as well as college and career ready.

Each program comes with a full range of academic support and professional development from our team and open enrollment is beginning now.
It is our goal to ensure that each Pendergast student achieves our vision as we “Empower Excellence and Success.”
