GOODYEAR SCHOOL ONLY AZ FINALIST IN NATIONWIDE CONTEST

 Desert Star School has been named the only Arizona finalist for the nationwide “Build a Bright Future” school contest.

The Goodyear campus is among the 11 schools chosen to be in the running for the ten thousand dollar prize  from the Frigo® Cheese Heads® Brand.

The gifted-focused school plans to renovate and improve their current science lab with equipment and tools for their students to use if chosen as the recipient. 

“We are thrilled to be a semi-finalist for Arizona. This is an amazing opportunity for our kids to receive state-of-the-art science equipment for our science lab. Hands-on learning is key to our success as a school,” says Desert Star Principal Jessica Worthington.

Voting takes place online until December 19.
