Eight, Arizona PBS presents PBS Kids Family Fun Day on June 6

Eight, Arizona PBS invites families to lace up their sneakers and join the fun – helping PBS KIDS field test three Odd Squad-themed interactive games for kids and their parents to play together.

Additionally, PBS KIDS Family Fun Day will feature a photo booth with a green screen and several different Odd Squad backgrounds for commemorative portraits and selfies, a mobile learning program and the launch of their summer reading program.

Eight, Arizona PBS presents PBS Kids Family Fun Day on June 6 PBSKIDSOddSquadHPThe event takes place June 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Salvation Army KROC Center  at 1375 E. Broadway Road in Phoenix 85040 and is free to attend and open to the public.  Families can register at www.azpbs.org/funday.

Parents and kids ages 5-8 will play together in educational, fun games, where the kids will be the “agents,” solving “Odd Problems” that involve “Stealth Math” and “Wacky Gadgets.”

All kids who successfully complete the game passport will receive an Odd Squad agent badge. There will also be other activities for the younger and older siblings to participate in, so the whole family can join in the fun.

Each of the games are designed to be a two-hour experience, so each child and accompanying adult should register separately for their preferred schedule time. Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate. Space is limited, so registration is required.
