DYSART SCHOOLS — The annual Winter Charity Games at Willow Canyon High School that were scheduled for Thursday night have been cancelled.

The four baseball programs of the Dysart Unified School District were scheduled to play in the annual Winter Charity Games at Willow Canyon High School, 17901 W. Lundberg St., Surprise.  With help from the Willow Canyon High School Student Council, the games will start at 4 p.m., with Dysart playing Shadow Ridge, followed by a 6:30 p.m. game between Valley Vista and Willow Canyon.  Another game will be played on the WCHS auxiliary field pairing Valley Vista and Willow Canyon’s underclassmen starting at 5 p.m.  All proceeds will benefit the West Valley branch of Toys for Tots again this year.

Thanks to Mark Hratko with Copper State Umpires Association for supplying the officials and Jim Besaw with Jersey Jim’s Snack Shack for concessions.
