The Symposium is just one initiative of the organization’s national signature program, Project Reassurance, which has incorporated the theme of “H3: It’s All About Me – Healthy Choices, Healthy Living, Healthy Generations.”
The goal of this year’s symposium is to engage youth locally and globally by strengthening their minds, bodies, and perspectives.
The community service event will be held on March 7th at Desert Wind Middle School located at 35565 W Honeycutt Road, Maricopa, AZ 85138 from 9:00 A.M.-4:10 P.M.
The Kappa Eta Sigma Alumnae Chapter (Scottsdale) of Sigma Gamma Gamma Rho is partnering with Be Awesome Youth Coalition, USA Track & Field and the Pinal County Attorney’s Office to bring awareness about internet safety, obesity, drugs and alcohol as well as human trafficking prevention.
The event will also focus on college readiness with a panel featuring college representatives. Parents are welcome to attend.
Chapters nationwide will host the symposium on Saturday, March 9, 2019, as a unified effort to support youth. Another goal is to look at how our resources can be used in the community to support our young people who must cope with challenges daily.
