Creighton University School of Medicine holds Mini-Medical School Day

Creighton University Mini Medical Day

The Mini-Medical School Day includes a range of health-related topics, research and experiential exercises designed to motivate first-generation students to consider careers in medicine or other health care professions. In addition, the program will introduce students to the process of moving toward applying to medical school.

This event will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams on April 17, at 8 a.m. Organizers will provide the link closer to the event date.

Creighton University designed this event for first-generation 7-9th grade students of diverse backgrounds. At least one parent or legal guardian must be in attendance during the Mini-Medical School Day. However, parents or legal guardians will participate in a separate first-generation parent program.

The registration for this event is $125. Additionally, Participants may be eligible for a full-tuition scholarship to cover the cost of the Mini-Medical School Day. To be eligible for scholarship consideration, students should email a letter to Jo Walton on school stationery with their names typed on it. A school administrator (principal) or a math/science teacher must sign the letter.
