Phoenix Union High School District’s Central High School will have visitors from Mexico and Costa Rica this month through the Global Studies program.

Ten Costa Rican students and two teacher/chaperons came to Phoenix, the week of January 13.  They stay with host families from Central High School.

At the end of January, a high school group of performers from Hermosillo, Sonora will make its annual trek to Arizona, performing at South Mountain, Maryvale and Central High.

The Rondalla y Grupo de Danza Folklórica Mexicana will hold its public performance, Friday, January 31 at 7 p.m. in the Central Auditorium.  The award-winning students  sing and dance to traditional Mexican music.

Admission is $5 for individuals and $10 for families.  Tickets are available at the door or at the Global Studies office at Central, at (602) 764-7569.
