A science enthusiast and Kids Club site leader, Ms. Miller’s classroom is filled with bubbles, creatures in jars, lab coats and safety glasses.

Students recently saw the effects of mixing vinegar and a baking soda solution that masked a hidden color.

“What colors do you have?” Ms. Miller asked them.

“Blue!” “Yellow!” “I have red!” the students shouted.

Ms. Miller’s classroom is just one stop in the Xtreme Summer Camp rotation. The program also includes games, crafts, PE, music, field trips and more. It is open to children in preschool through sixth grade.

Camp will be held 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 2 through July 25 at Chaparral School, 3380 E. Frye Road, Gilbert.

Advance registration required.
