Central students win Rotary Leadership Awards

Central High School students Clarissa Duran, Esperanza Loya, Kristalyn Mitchell, Boweh Momoh, Carmen Moreno, and Betsy Rodriguez have won Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).

They will attend the RYLA Conference in Prescott January 17-20 20 where they will hone their leadership skills.

Topics to be explored at the conference include: Fundamentals of Leadership ; Ethics and Leadership ; Communication skills in effective Leadership; Problem-solving and Conflict Management; Building self confidence and self-esteem;  and Elements of community and global citizenship.

Their all-expenses-paid participation is sponsored by Phoenix Rotary 100, the Rotary Club that sponsors Central High’s Interact Club.
