Share the Art, an International, Interdisciplinary Chinese Calligraphy Project was made possible by a
grant from the Cave Creek Unified Education Foundation. This exciting project brought together the Art and Chinese Departments at Sonoran Trails Middle
School in Cave Creek, Arizona with our overseas sister school, No. Six School in Ychang, Hubei
Province, China.

A formal document signing ceremony will also take place between the school principals and the director of ASU’s Confucius
Institute.

Sonoran Trails Middle School and Cactus Shadows High School have been building their Mandarin Chinese programs after two Cave Creek Unified
School District elementary schools began their programs four years ago.

With 1700 students enrolled in Mandarin Chinese programs, Cave Creek Unified School District is one of the only Arizona districts with a
kindergarten through 12th grade pipeline for this globally-required language.
